The personal data that you provide is collected for the purpose of allowing us to undertake necessary actions to investigate reports relating to dog behaviour and attacks. The legal basis for this processing is that it is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the local authority.
In the case of lost and stray dogs, your personal data will not be shared and will be kept for six months from the date the record was created. In the case of investigations relating to dog behaviour, your personal information may be shared with the police or other agencies provided that it is lawful to do so. We will retain your personal data for a minimum of six years from the date the record was created.
You have the right to access your personal data and to complain if you think your data is being used incorrectly. You may also have other rights, such as to have your data corrected or erased.
