The personal data that you provide will be used to process your report of unauthorised works and contraventions and to identify the owner of the property, architect and developer as appropriate, along with associated details and information related with the development.

We are under a legal obligation to collect and process this information, under the Building Act 1984 & Building Control Performance Standards 2017 edition.

You must complete the appropriate form or submit electronically in order for us to process your application. If the form is incomplete, we will not be able to process your application.

Your personal data will be shared within the relevant departments at the Council, and if necessary any partners who we have lawfully had to share your data with to deliver services on our behalf.

If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence, transaction or telephone call. We use this information held about you to allow us to contact you directly via telephone, email or any other correspondence to ensure that we can provide a customer focused service. We may also ask you to complete surveys that we use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them.
