Planning permission for the new 49-hectare landmark Tachbrook Country Park between Bishop’s Tachbrook, Whitnash, Leamington Spa and Warwick was approved by Warwick District’s Planning Committee in November 2022.
The transfer of land is now being completed. Before work starts, we also need to complete the detailed design for the country park, meet the remaining planning requirements and choose a construction company through a procurement exercise. Work will then begin to create one of the largest green spaces in the district.
Tachbrook Country Park will connect new housing to Oakley School and other public facilities planned for the area. Phase 1 of the country park will provide accessible, sustainable green space and an array of public benefits for all ages including a new network of paths connected to existing footpaths and cycleways, play areas, habitats for wildlife and food growing areas.
Construction of Phase of Tachbrook Country Park is planned to be completed in 2026. Please do not enter the land before the park is completed. It is unsuitable for use and could be unsafe.
