At The Royal Pump Rooms, we are committed to preserving the charm and heritage of this historic venue. To ensure the long-term protection of our beautiful Grade II listed building, essential roof repairs will soon be underway. These improvements will help maintain this iconic space for future generations while allowing us to continue hosting your events in a stunning setting.

What This Means for You If you have already booked an event with us, your booking can still go ahead, and we will be in contact to discuss the details, and how these works could impact your event. We understand that maintaining business continuity is crucial for our valued bookers and visitors. The Conservatory (annex) will be closed for bookings as we continue to refurbish the space. The Assembly will be available to book, please add all the details to the booking form and we will get back to you.  

The Royal Pump Rooms will remain fully operational throughout the restoration process. This includes:

• No impact on opening hours – All businesses and services will continue as usual.
• Minimal disruption – While scaffolding will be in place, access to all facilities remains unaffected.
• Some daytime noise – Work will take place during standard hours, but we aim to keep disturbances to a minimum.

Project Funding & Execution This vital restoration is made possible thanks to a generous grant from Arts Council England’s MEND (Museum Estate and Development) fund. The work will be carried out by Stepnell, a trusted local contractor and heritage conservation specialist, ensuring the highest standard of craftsmanship.
