Warwick District Council’s Arts Section were amongst the winners at last week’s Leamington Business Awards.
The team who manages the Royal Pump Rooms Art Gallery and Museum and Royal Spa Centre were awarded the prize for Customer Service Excellence by judges Sarah Windrum (Chair of Coventry & Warwickshire LEP) and Roger Scott (Lloyds Banking) with assistance from Rob Harrison (Glued), Sarah Brewster (Fresh Seed) and Kevin Riley (ActionCOACH) in recognition of their ‘customer first’ culture and proactive encouragement of feedback in order to improve standards of service.
Councillor Liam Bartlett, Portfolio Holder for Culture, Tourism and Leisure commented:
“I’m extremely proud that our Arts Section has been recognised in this way, particularly given the challenges they have faced over the past two years. The museum, gallery and theatre were the first to close due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the last to fully re-open, so the journey to diversify and adapt the service and to make visitors feel safe and welcome required a huge amount of hard work and commitment from everyone involved.”
