Warwick and Stratford-on-Avon District Council are inviting residents to join a free webinar on Wednesday 17 November 2021 with sustainable author and speaker Jen Gale.
The webinar focuses on how to have a ‘Sustainable(ish) Christmas’.
The author of ‘The Sustainable(ish) Living Guide’ and ‘The Sustainable(ish) Guide to Parenting’, Jen will be talking about the simple steps we can take to reduce waste and our carbon footprint during the festive season, as part of the first in a series of ‘Carbon Connected’ webinars.
Sustainable(ish) is all about taking small steps that can make a big difference, with no judgement or preaching involved – finding small changes or tweaks that suit your life but are also good for the planet.
The webinar takes place on Wednesday 17 November 2021 from 1pm to 2pm through Microsoft Teams and can be accessed via a link available on both Stratford and Warwick District Council’s websites:
Councillor Alan Rhead, Cabinet member for Climate Change at Warwick District Council, said: “With COP26 currently taking place, it has reinforced the need for us all to play our part in reducing our carbon impact.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for residents across South Warwickshire to get some top tips on reducing waste this Christmas. Jen is a renowned speaker and author on the subject who has done many talks across the country, so we’re very lucky to have her with us sharing her expertise.
Councillor Ian Shenton, Cabinet member for Climate Change at Stratford-on-Avon District Council, added: “From reducing food waste to avoiding unnecessary disposable items, there’s something we can all do at this time of year to reduce our impact on the planet. I’m sure there will be something for everyone to take away from this talk.”
Jen Gale added: "I’m really looking forward to the talk and sharing ideas, tips and inspiration for a more ‘Sustainable(ish) Christmas!’"
