Residents of Radford Semele are being encouraged to take a look at the latest document relating to the village’s Neighbourhood Plan which is available for online consultation.
The Neighbourhood Plan, which will help to shape local development and planning decisions for the village has been formally submitted to Warwick District Council by Radford Semele Parish Council.
The document is now open to public consultation for 12 weeks until 18 August 2020 in accordance with Neighbourhood Planning Regulations.
Councillor Val Leigh-Hunt who represents the Radford-Semele ward for the District Council commented;
“This extensive plan not only looks at the current and future development of the village in terms of housing, but also the infrastructure, community facilities, open spaces and heritage. In the wake of expansion it is important that Radford Semele remains separate from the urban development of Leamington, Sydenham and Whitnash and retains its unique identity. We have doubled the consultation period due to the disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, which we hope will enable as many local residents as possible to respond to the proposals being made.”
Following this consultation, the RSNDP will be sent for an Independent Examination by a jointly appointed Examiner, to consider whether it meets the basic conditions. Once these are modified and met the Plan will be subjected to a local Referendum.
