Residents of Warwick district that have been identified as extremely vulnerable and need to shield but haven’t yet registered on the government website will be receiving contact from the Council.
The calls will be made in the coming week by officers from Warwick District Council who will be checking in on those identified as extremely vulnerable to see if any assistance is required.
Councillor Judy Falp, Portfolio Holder for Health & Community Protection, said: “We want to reassure people that these aren’t bogus calls and that help is available to them if they need it; we won’t ask you for any personal details. If anyone receives a call and is unsure, they can hang up and re-dial our dedicated number – 01926 456111 (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm) – to check the validity of the person calling.”
