Warwick District Council’s Executive on 6 March gave their approval for a development brief relating to land east of Kenilworth, following an eight-week public consultation.
This agreement by the Council means that the development brief will act as a supplementary planning document, which can be used to help determine planning applications in this area of Kenilworth. The document provides guidance for the delivery of a sustainable urban extension on a large site to the eastern side of Kenilworth, where land has been allocated for residential, employment and educational use through the Local Plan.
Councillor Alan Rhead, Portfolio Holder for Development, said: “I’m very pleased with this decision, which provides us with the framework by which we can ensure that the highest quality of development is provided for this area in a comprehensive way to serve our future generations.”
