Christmas shopping in Warwick district will be easier following the introduction of RingGo parking across all of the district’s 28 off-street car parks from Monday 19 November.
RingGo is available as an app which you download onto your apple or android phone and then link to your payment card to pay for your parking.
In addition, you can extend your stay up to the maximum time allowed in that car park whilst you’re out and about – so if you bump in to a friend for coffee or you’re stuck in a queue, you can extend your parking time straight from your phone!
Councillor Moira-Ann Grainger, Portfolio Holder for Neighbourhood Services, said: “We have listened to our car park users and introduced RingGo as a more convenient way to pay for parking in all of our car parks. There is no more hunting around for change, or waiting in a queue to pay - you just use the app on your phone, it couldn’t be easier! Our Rangers will be on hand to help you set up.”
RingGo app downloads onto your phone quickly and you can set it up once you’ve parked. First time users will be asked for your vehicle registration, the five-digit location code shown on the car park meter, and details of your payment card. RingGo will recognise your device and retrieve your information, each time you park, ensuring hassle free car parking.
You can also choose to receive RingGo text reminders which will notify you 10 minutes before your parking time is due to run out, as a reminder to either extend your stay or return to your car.
