The Council’s Green/Labour administration will discuss the relocation of the Council’s Customer Service Centre to the existing Pump Rooms shop at their Cabinet meeting on 5 July.
They will consider recommendations for the design of the layout, and the budget for the project. Cabinet will also consider the recommendation to pursue an alternative venue or approach for the existing Pump Rooms shop.
This is a follow-on from the February 2023 Cabinet meeting, where the previous Administration approved the recommendation to relocate the Council’s Customer Service operations to the Pump Rooms building in Royal Leamington Spa, as a replacement and significant enhancement to the customer service provision currently operated at Riverside House.
In September 2022, Cabinet approved the recommendation for Warwick District Council to vacate its Riverside House premises as part of a 2-step plan to make considerable savings for taxpayers on its running costs. This meant that an alternative venue for customers services needed to be found.
Feedback from residents and groups has informed the recommendations for Cabinet to consider.
