Film Showcase
This year, we will aim to create a relaxed environment on our upper foyer – where delegates can watch locally made films throughout the day. Below, you’ll find key details about this opportunity, how to apply, and the selection process.
About the Sessions
We will run a programme of films on a loop throughout the day. The number of times each film will be shown will be dictated by the number of films submitted:
- Screening Times: 10:00–14:00
- Location: Upper Foyer, Royal Spa Centre (First Floor)
- Audience Size: Up to 50 people
We welcome short films from all areas of the creative sector, including arts, heritage, technology, film, and community projects. Our goal is to curate a programme that celebrates the diversity and creativity of the district.
How to Apply
Simply email Johnathan.branson@warwickdc.gov.uk with a short outline of your proposed film. Be sure to include:
- Links to your work or biography
- Your technical requirements
Selection Process
Applications will be reviewed on Monday 13 January by members of Warwick District Creative Compact. We aim to reflect the area’s creative breadth and diversity.
Preference will be given to applicants based in the district’s four towns, but others may be considered.
You’ll hear from us by Thursday 16 January about the outcome of your application.
Session Format
- A large TV screen and speakers will be installed in the upper foyer.
- Several sofas and chairs will form a relaxed viewing area – for delegates to use throughout the day.
- Delegates will not be required to book. It will be a drop-in / drop-out model
Technical Setup
- Equipment: Large digital TV screen (16:9 format).
- Submission: Films must be submitted 3 days before the event.
- Important: You must hold all copyrights and permission to present your film to a public audience.
Warm regards,
- The Spark Lite Team
