Overview and Scrutiny Committee

The Council has a Scrutiny Committee called the Overview & Scrutiny Committee to undertake the overview and scrutiny functions. 

What does the Scrutiny Committee do?

The prime purpose of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee is to review items to be considered by Cabinet, to review past decisions, policy development, health and wellbeing issues, specific issues and problems within any service area.

Getting Involved 

The Overview & Scrutiny Committee meetings are held at Shire Hall, Market Place, Warwick and are open to the public to attend. Meetings are also live streamed, and you can watch it live on our YouTube channel.

Live stream videos will appear five minutes before the start of the meeting, and the recording of the meeting will be kept on YouTube for later viewing.

Broadcasts of the meeting will be available for 12 months, after which, they will change to a private video.

The committee comprises of 12 Warwick District Council Councillors. The Councillors are appointed to the committee at the annual Council meeting.
