Notice of election for a Member of Parliament to serve Kenilworth & Southam constituency
- An Election is to be held for a Member of Parliament to serve Kenilworth & Southam constituency.
- Forms of nomination for the Parliamentary Election may be obtained at Warwick District Council, Saltisford 1, Ansell Way, Warwick CV34 4UL from the Acting Returning Officer who will, at the request of an elector for any electoral area prepare a nomination paper for signature.
- Nomination papers must be delivered to the Acting Returning Officer, Warwick District Council, Town Hall, Parade, Royal Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, CV32 4AT on any day after the date of this notice between the hours of 10 am and 4 pm but no later than4pm on Friday, 7th June 2024by appointment only. Appointments can be made by emailingelections@warwickdc.gov.uk.
- The £500 deposit can be made either by legal tender, by means of a banker’s draft from a drawer which carries on the business as banker in the United Kingdom or, with the Acting Returning Officer’s consent, in any other manner (including electronic transfer of funds).
- If any election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday, 4th July 2024.
- Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight onTuesday 18th June 2024.Applications can be made online:www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.
