Review of Polling Districts, Polling Places and Polling Stations
Under the Representation of the People Act 1983, Warwick District Council has a duty to divide its area into polling districts and to designate a polling place for each polling district. Warwick District Council also has a duty under the Electoral Administration Act 2006, as amended, to review their polling districts and places at least once every five years.
Notice is hereby given that in accordance with Section 18C of the Representation of the People Act 1983 Warwick District Council is to carry out a review of its polling districts and polling places starting today Monday 2 October.
Please see the formal notice attached with the timetable of the review. The notice explains how to view the Returning Officer recommendations and how to comment.
We encourage as many responses as possible. We have published recommendations and it will be the stakeholder’s feedback which will help shape the future polling districts and polling places in both Warwick & Leamington and Kenilworth & Southam constituencies.
Details on how you can comment on the review is stated on the notice attached. Further information on the review can be found here Review of polling districts, polling places and polling stations - Polling stations - Warwick District Council (warwickdc.gov.uk)
Please share the review with electors, particularly any community groups or associations you may have contact with, disability groups and political parties.
Many thanks for your assistance.
