Local resident Azhagarasan Annadorai explains how a fun game became the start of an app celebrating the circular economy:

I picked up an interest in "Circular Economy" a few years ago. I started experimenting with the idea by educating and creating awareness with the staff of small businesses I know.

We played gift exchange games such as Secret Santa and White Elephant, with a twist. In our games, we used recyclable/ reusable items as gifts.

I created an app called "Little Green Elephant" to sustain the interest among the group/members. I'm currently promoting this to the Chess Club members at Leamington Library. If this is successful, I plan to extend the app to other informal groups that gather in the Library and extend the invitation to other libraries.

Any help to fund the app, promote it to the neighborhoods, get buy-in from libraries, etc would be great. I hope the app creates an impact in a small way to create awareness of the "Circular Economy.".
