Applications for the Green Homes Grants scheme have now closed.

Who was it for?

The scheme was open to private owner-occupied properties that don't currently heat their home using mains gas.

To be eligible for thef unding, applicants needed to:

  • Own and live in your home,or rent it privately to a tenant within Warwick District; and
  • Have a gross household income of less than £36,000 per year OR live in an eligible postcode area; and
  • Currently heat your home with alternative fuels other than gas such as oil, liquid petroleum gas (LPG), coal, solid fuels or electricity; and
  • Live in a home that has an EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) rating of D, E, F or G

What measures were available?

  • Solar PV panels
  • Air source heat pumps
  • Loft insulation
  • Cavity wall insulation
  • Smart heating controls
  • External wall insulation

The energy efficiency improvement(s) were carried out by an E.ON Trustmark registered contractor.

Our delivery partners

We are working with E.ON Energy Solutions and Act On Energy on this scheme.

E.ON

E.ON is a national energy solutions company and will help with the following:

  • Carrying out the energy assessment of your home to check the EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) rating
  • Installing the improvements such as air source heat pumps, solar PV or loft insulation depending on whether these are suitable for your property

Act on Energy

Act on Energy is a leading energy advice charity that has been helping people with their energy needs for 25years.They will help you with the following:

  • Managing the application process
  • Understanding your current energy spend
  • How to save more money through fuel switching
  • Signpost you to other support agencies such as financial help with bills where required

Warwick District Council

Warwick District Council are responsible for overseeing this work,making sure you are happy in the process and the installation work is completed to the expected standard.

The Council has obtainedf unding for the Green Homes Grants delivery from the Department for Energy, Security and Net Zero and has overall responsibility for delivering the scheme successfully with all partners.
