Hear the tale of how during Elizabeth I’s reign, Robert Dudley founded his legacy, this philanthropic organisation, in the beautiful half-timbered buildings built by the Guilds of Warwick in the 1300’s. Dudley created a home and sanctuary for soldiers –the Brethren – who had fought in the Elizabethan wars and he installed a Master to watch over them.

A unique establishment where the community of Master and Brethren still exists after 450 years. Learn more about the nuances of this fascinating historical gem hidden in the heart of Warwick. After, ask the character questions whilst you enjoy a glass of ale or soft drink.
