Awantika lives in the West Midlands and performs across the Far East in places such as India, Taiwan and China as well as here, where she often works with Dave Balen, Interplay’s versatile drummer. 

Interplay is popular partly because of its use of World Music rhythms and flavours. It has collaborated with many performers representing different musical traditions.

‘Indian-Jazz Fusion’ will reveal how both musical traditions achieve rhythmic and melodic excitement and expression through improvisation. At the Dormer Centre, Leamington, 4.00pm.
