Volunteering

Volunteers provide a unique contribution to the local community. We believe that such a valuable resource must be appropriately supported. As a result the Volunteering Policy and Procedures document (PDF) ensures that council officers provide a consistent and supportive approach to the volunteers. The council recognises the valuable contribution made by volunteers, adding value to existing work, introducing new perspectives and potentially unlocking additional funding opportunities for schemes. The council seeks to promote the importance and effectiveness of volunteering within the community.

If you are interested in volunteering for a specific piece of work with the council, please contact the HR and recruitment team.
