1. Emma Newton
Everything I make is from upcycled solid silver. Some is cutlery such as butter knives, some is old broken jewellery restyled to transform it. Even my stand is a carpenter’s tool box, old flags and wooden printer trays . I love what I do, I hope my jewellery makes people smile and at the same time it’s my very own little venture to help the environment.

2. Christina Callaghan
In her work with clay, Christina finds the direct contact with the material a grounding experience bordering on the primal. She is fascinated by the process and the chemistry of the many changes that literal mud from the earth goes through to become a ceramic artwork. Her recently completed body of work has seen her imagine a world of allegory and mythology to explore the liminal spaces between one moment and another, the quiet pauses for reflection between periods of action. These pieces draw heavily on folklore and the personal symbology of the artist herself. She is currently researching for a new collection to carry on from this work, with a theme as yet to be revealed.

4. Helen Button
About 28 years ago, to be precise, I was a young mum, who’s ambitions were boundless. Wanting to give my son the best possible start, I set upon a path of working to my strengths, which was arts and crafts. Having always made things and never been a natural academic, I set about making creating things, from pots, to sculptures to drawing and painting, which in turn resulted in developing photography, web building and business skills. 28 years on and I continue working on this same ambition, it has truly enlightened my life. My mission is to share my art with others, with the hope that others get as much joy from the things I make as I do when creating. Being environmentally conscious, making things for others locally and supporting local independent businesses is very important to me as I believe it creates a much healthier world for us all to live.

9. OddDotDesigns
I create jewellery that is unique and colourful, with each piece reflecting a deep connection to my home country of Chile. The bright designs represent my culture: the sun, the vibrant clothing, and the lively dancing. I want to share this vibrancy with people around the world. Using polymer clay, I handmake each design and then coat it with resin to offer protection and a radiant shine. Each design is different from the last, which is why I named my brand OddDotDesigns.

10. Katie Jones
I am Warwickshire born and bred, living in Warwick and working as a graphic and motion designer in Leamington. While my job is creative, I need personal creative freedom to stay inspired—this is where my painting and drawing come in. For me, art is meditation: a mindful experience of being fully present while capturing the essence of a place or moment. By looking closely at every nook and cranny of an old building, or concentrating on every shape that makes up nature, I feel more deeply connected to the world around me. Every painting, drawing and sketch captures a meaningful experience in my life. So in essence, my mission is to share details of a place or a moment that others might also find peace, calm and beauty at looking at every day.

11. Chris the Smith
My main inspiration is the process of forging itself, even after 15 years of working hot steel I still find the process of forging fascinating and incredibly enjoyable. I thoroughly enjoy the problem solving aspect of my craft, working out how to create new forms or make pieces perform the function desired by a client or myself. Over the years I’ve often found myself gravitating towards forms with smooth flowing curves, I like to deign and make pieces which, although made from solid steel, look delicate and elegant. I appreciate designs that utilise simple geometric forms and balanced ratios and negative spaces, so a lot of my work has a stripped-back almost industrial feel to them which I find gives customers a sense of solidity and reliability. Although repeat custom is always appreciated, I have faith that if someone purchases an item from me, they’ll never need a replacement.
As a blacksmith and therefore a practitioner of a very traditional craft I want to make pieces that prove that a craft so old still has relevance in the modern world. I try to do this by creating pieces which are rooted in tradition through their method of manufacture but are designed to fit within a modern aesthetic.I want to create pieces which are both useful and decorative, I want my aesthetic to appeal to a wide audience in the hope that it shows that the art of blacksmithing is something which is alive and well in modern society and that it has evolved beyond the traditional trades of farriery and bladesmithing, that it has transformed into something that can still hold its own in a marketplace full of items that are designed to be used and discarded.

14.Tilly's Cottages
I've been making Tilly's Cottages for over 10 years now, but in January 2025, will focus less on the making and more on the teaching, as for the first time - I start to offer creative courses on how to make your own cottage scene. We are hearing more and more about how creativity can have such a positive impact on a persons wellbeing, that this now is a natural progression for me to make in being a one woman, small, independent business. So whilst I will still make cottages for sale, my focus will shift to teaching courses around Warwickshire. Having recently completed my first practice course with a group of friends, they went away utterly thrilled with their creations, and they learned new craft skills which has given them the drive to now explore more craft courses with other local artists and makers. Photo number 3 is of my first course attendees of which I was super proud of their creations - they did so well!

18. Glass and Style
I make stained and fused glass sculptures using both lead and copper foil techniques. I use recycled and antique glass wherever possible and like to frame or inset the stained glass pieces into salvaged/repurposed wood or metal sculptured objects in order to create attractive and unusual 3-D works of art. Whilst people usually come across stained glass that is of the traditional or religious kind, I believe there are boundless possibilities to create modern, vibrant and unusual designs, and to incorporate them into 3D sculptures, from the small to the large.
