Chairman of the Council
Warwick District Council elects the Chairman of the Council annually in May. The Chairman is one of the Council’s 46 councillors and is the first citizen of the district and is senior to all the Town Mayors.
It is the Chairman’s responsibility, apart from chairing meetings of the Council, to represent the Council at a wide variety of functions. In the year of office, the Chairman and their consort can expect to attend three or four hundred events. The Chairman aims to visit all 24 Town/Parish Councils within the district.

Town mayors
The four towns within Warwick District are Kenilworth whose Mayor is Councillor George Illingworth, Royal Leamington Spa whose Mayor is Councillor Mrs Yvonne Moore, Warwick whose Mayor is Councillor Elizabeth Higgins and Whitnash whose Mayor is Councillor Adrian Barton.
